Alaska Snow Expeditions is a team of passionate outdoor enthusiasts who want to share our love for nature with the world. Come join us on a unique adventure that takes you deep into the Alaskan wilderness. This expedition requires creek crossings and is not an easy ride that anyone can do. While snowmachine experience is not necessary, good motor skills and coordination are a must. You will not be disappointed. Our tours do not mix parties and have a 4-person maximum. Plan for 3-4 hours.
Stop at a remote Alaskan Cabin to warm up with a hot drink and snack. Tours depart from a trailhead located 30 minutes north of Anchorage.

This tour is designed for groups that want to have a longer, more remote experience. The tour will depart from Anchorage at 9:00 AM. We will head north to either Hatcher Pass or Eureka depending on snow conditions. This tour will include a warm lunch and a beverage. Have the chance to get far off of the road system and truly arrive in the middle of nowhere. These trips are more extreme than our half-day tour but are more rewarding.
Being in the wilderness for the entire day increases your chances of seeing moose, eagles, caribou, and wolves. Plan on at least 6-7 hours for this tour and we promise to show you the experience of a lifetime.
By the end of the day, you will feel confident on the snowmobile and will have had an epic journey.
We get lots of inquiries about this one! There is no restroom at the trailhead. There will be an opportunity to use an outhouse approximately one hour into the tour (and on the way back down the mountain for full-day tours.) Though we consider it a core tenet of the “Alaskan Experience,” we strongly advise that you take care of any related business before arriving at the tour location if you are uncomfortable going to the bathroom in the woods. We will provide complimentary toilet paper and wipes at the outhouse and on the tour.
The trailhead is located in a cul-de-sac. There are two “No Parking” signs that must be obeyed, but there is almost always plenty of parking.
We strongly advise dressing in layers and bringing all of your cold-weather gear. It’s always better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it!
We will provide you with helmets, gloves, and boots in a wide array of sizes.
Your comfort is always a priority...
We also know that adventures can be hard to plan for, and the weather can change in an instant. Because of this, we will always carry a limited assortment of extra weather gear (neck warmers, jackets, glove liners, hats, socks, hand warmers) in the case that a rider becomes cold. We offer jackets and snow pants as needed at no extra cost. Gear requests and specifications must be submitted via the attached comprehensive questionnaire. Our snowmobiles are also equipped with heated handgrips for both riders and toe warmers for the driver. Alaska weather can be unpredictable. Your guide will be a great resource for gear questions at the trail head.
Snow machining is pretty rigorous. It requires a healthy degree of physical strength, agility, and perseverance in cold weather. Before booking, we ask that you consider any health issues or impairments that may effect your ability to participate in this tour.
Cancellation with 10 days or less prior to the tour or rental and the deposit is completely non-refundable. If you are not fairly certain you will be able to attend your trip, ASE strongly recommends purchasing trip insurance. A 100% refund will be issued to customers whose trips are canceled due to weather or on ASE's behalf.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
